Me: *as I am working on it* Hey..I should probably save this.
*saves..then MSPaint immediately crashes*

Not sure if I made it better or not. I never played an Earthbound game(not that I have not wanted to), so I don't know if I got the underbelly right..I'm just going by y'all's work.
