I would definitely consider it, as the models in the first two games are much better than in Red Hot Rumble. In fact, I would have started with these games first.
Also, you should double check your textures. If Cameo Leon is any indication, you've been forgetting the Alpha channel again. Most of them don't need it, but it's really obvious with teeth. The Viewtiful Joe 1 models are all fine, so it's only the ones from 2 you'll have to fix.
