True, however if Sonic Team and Sega choose to take on an alternate timeline game then maybe it would, however I highly have doubts that there going to do that for specific reasons.
@Sir Repiteo: It was mentioned before that Nintendo is getting away with the a whole bunch of new characters for the Mario series, Thats mainly because they are not revamping ideas for other characters exxcessively. If you compair that with the Sonic's new lot of characters, there mostly revamps of old characters.
Lets look at the Sonic series new lot:
Blaze- A character like Sonic that has the same role, Mainly collecting a differnt version of the chaos emeralds, Thats not enough for you? Alright lets make Her super form a pyrotetnik super animal! And instead of a hedgehog lets make her a female Cat Princess! fair enough?
Eggman Nega- He's basicly another eggman so therefore not worth of much mention.
Silver- Another SONIC LIKE HOG, lets just fuck up his hair style and not make it so that he is not like shadow or sonic. And lets make him so that he is a from about 100 years in the future, and lets makle it so that he is pyscic.
ok, did I make a point yet? I would add on more and add some mario characters to compair with the sonic series, but I gotta get to bed so peace out mah brothas.
