Sega Announces new 2D Sonic title

Just seems weird making a 'retro' Sonic game with a homing attack. Why not just make "Sonic Rush X" or something?

And the reason they probably won't be able to pull it off is because: Sega is making it.

As for the whole "Just don't use it" - I never liked that logic. Just doesn't sit well with me. Not to mention that if it has homing jumps (has this even been confirmed?) they'll probably be needed to progress through the game.

I don't see why "Sega is making it" is a bad thing. They haven't done well with Sonic lately, but they've done quite a few other games lately that are pretty good.

In regards to the homing attack, I just hope its not something you're forced to use everything 3 seconds like in some of Sonic's recent games. Like Tyvon said there's been a number of rom hacks that have done it well so I don't see why this can't turn out good too.
