I think your Link sucks I'm sorry to say but being straight forward is better than being all nice and lying about how you feel about peoples artwork, I think you can still make it better but you need to give him more detail with Links hair and hat and the feet need to be spread apart more its almost looks like he's pigeon toed, and I don't know why you made Link have purple hair, but whatever floats your boat thats not the problem with your Link though.
He is fat too, Link needs to be more skinny'er, and may I suggest to ensure when working with sprites it always good to even out the width of the body with pixels so you can make it skinny or fat without doing major changes.

If you have played lttp, you should know that he had purple hair and before lttp he had brown. It's better that he is pidgeon-toed than doing a split. Put on a white turtleneck and a green tunic and see for yourself if you look fat.

This link is pretty good actually, but if this is your best try yet, i suggest that you look on some tutorials. but don't try to make him thin, he wears a turtleneck, lotsa' bottles and a giant hammer under that tunic
