Ninja Ripper

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this

However I was wondering
How safe is Ninja ripper to use?
I currently have a mobile game I wanna get models from (more on that is in another thread).
Since Im not sure ill be able to rip the models right from the games files like I want
I was considering Ninjaripper
(I play the mobile game on a PC with an emulator)

Now is where I have questions
My computer is rather new
Im not trying to install any programs that arent safe
I downloaded Ninja ripper and my antivirus immediately listed it as an infected or dangerous file

Is this a false flag? Ive seen people go on about how good ninjaripper is..
is it safe to download?

Thanks, any feedback is helpful

Almost all programs that hook into other programs and/or inject modified code are flagged as either suspicious or dangerous by anti-virus software, which is fair enough.
Ninja Ripper temporarily replaces a program's DirectX DLLs with ones that communicate with the Ninja Ripper program and allow it to extract raw graphic data.
This is a relatively safe procedure. If your computer crashed while using Ninja Ripper, you may need to re-install DirectX DLLs or check the game's integrity.

I can confirm that ninja ripper is totally sure, i used it for a lot of time with different OS. Keep in mind that you need to download only to the site/blog of the author (blackninja) or eventually on xentax site if want to be totally sure. The tool doesn't place the modifed directx dll in System directory but only in the game/application that you want to ripp from. A crash of hte Os system is something extremely rare, and in a lot of years that i use it, it never happened. Anyway If something goes wrong specifically for the emulator that you are using, just remove the modified directx dll file inserted by the tool. There are various methods to ripp with ninja ripper even without the insert of the modified dll file. Just read some guides here or on the web.

Make sure you download Ninja Ripper from the official site, other websites may include malware/adware in it.

The Majority of Gopherfiles™ (programs that don't require installation) Are Pretty Safe As a result of the fact that they don't require permissions and cant go into your computers most vulnerable places such as root or program files.
Gopher as in it can go into any hole it pleases and.... yanowe !
