Jk, I'll hit you up when I'm in my hometown for a weekend. Or you could play Smash 64 online and come into my house

i sorta want to get in on this nerd beefcake contest, but ehhhh
i don't know if i could be serious enough to play a best-of-5, especially since i haven't played the game since launch and kinda forgot all the based cheese
You can just ask recme how much I've advanced since my 3DS videos, lol.
I also have 13 mains Also you just can't call an enormous John, followed by criticizing an opponents gameplay from months ago Thanked by: recme

No, I really can use 13 people consistently. In a roster as huge as this, wasting the opportunity to not master a big chunk is like wasting money. Also you're doing that thing again, the
thing where you make me out to be some sort of boastful 'nerd beefcake' when it's all in good fun and we enjoyed a few matches. Like literally two pages recently have been full of competitive sarcasm. Also "iceman calls out a non-competitive userbase", assuming recme, Sportoise, and several others who have been posting aren't good at the game. Stop pointing at me like I'm some sort of elitist, it's a subtle vibe I'm getting from your posts and it's annoying as hell. If you want the thread to move in another direction, start actually posting things relevant to your interests and don't let me guide it for so many pages over the course of literally 30 days. Seriously, you act as if you can't just walk in and discuss something else, making the topic flow into another direction. Thanked by: BullockDS

To be fair, the number of competitive players in this thread is dwarfed by casual players. Not even all of the competitive players play the same game. While I don't mind the whole challenge deal, you can understand why it would irk people, especially since several have a great disdain for competitive play to start with
Its pretty obvious it irks people, and I know the differences. Heck you seem to like the N64 version, even. @Sportoise
I'm saying there's no reason it should irk people when they can butt in at anytime and discuss something else. The challenge thing is hardly serious, I already said I'd do the "amazing thing" regardless in like three posts, but no one knows what it should even be. If anyone took the "oh you hurt my feelings" and "what are you afraid you won't win" posts (where I clearly express my laziness for doing the amazing thing) then I apologize that it wasn't obvious I was cracking a few. My reaction has basically been "wow this topic is dead, better post about what I prefer and see if the small number of competitive fans reply", and I got away with several pages of me spamming Melee while evergone just viewed, got irked, and left. Its hilarious. It's pretty fun playing against them and raising them to be like your teammate, but I feel like no matter what I do, my amiibo are only going to be good at fighting me and not like, other people's amiibo. Anyone have any suggestions on how I'd go about this? Is there any like, right way to train amiibo?

Now that you mention it
I'm wondering if amiibo cockfighting will be a thing. Like amiibo-only tourneys or something. (02-09-2015, 03:35 PM)MrYoshbert Wrote: Now that you mention it I feel like this is already a thing. But it should be more of a thing. This is more amiibo-related, but I'm waiting until like, someone manages to figure out how to read/write the existing contents of amiibo from something that's not the Wii U Gamepad, so for example, forum users could upload a "snapshot" of their amiibo so other users can download it to other figures to fight against. Basically automating the whole amiibo-tourney above but like, I don't even have to leave the house to enter the tournament because my amiibo can be flashed to someone else's. Thanked by: BullockDS
