The Models Resource has a very complicated approval system based on the fact that so many games use different formats for models and textures.
So, I was thinking maybe there could be possibly be a group of approvers who have an expertise for a specific console or format (i.e. a moderator for Gamecube and Playstation 2 games, one for Valve games, one for Switch games etc)

This would make going through certain popular games like Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Team Fortress 2, Super Mario 64 etc so much faster with someone with knowledge of the system.

but all submissions are in the same format yes? whether the game is SSBU, TF2, or SM64 you're still submitting a .dae (or .obj) and a bunch of .pngs yes? so your idea about approvers having expertise in the original format doesn't make much sense because the original format has nothing to do with the submission

I got a suggestion for just a new addition to the forums in general:

Can y'all VG Resource staff members add a "How to/Tutorial" forums to the main page. I betcha there are members (Like me for example) of the VG Resource/Did You Know Gaming community who has a interesting DIY stuff that he/she would like to share a "How to" topic on. That's all

The Final Fantasy customs section on tSR should have the "Final Fantasy IX" be moved to it's own section.
It has more than the Final Fantasy IV customs section even!

I made a game section icon just for it.

How feasible would it be to add an option to see all games from a system?

It wouldn't be impossible but the option was left out to avoid huge, endlessly scrolling pages (or to at least reduce them - even with a single letter at a time, there are still a few). For smaller categories, all games are displayed on a single page already but for larger ones, games are separated by letter for performance reasons so I likely won't add a "view all" option.

I think all those Leapster based systems could be merged.

Would it be possible to implement a dark theme/skin for this forum and the resource sites?

It's already in the works. We just got sidetracked with other projects but it's definitely on the list to finish.

Looks like this was missed but to revisit it, I think merging them might make sense but what would be the merged name?

How about LeapFrog? Just using the company name like with the Atari section and mention the system in the game e.g. Sonic X (Leapster). It would also cover games that LeapFrog released on their tablets (unless they are available on mobiles too) and ClickStart My First Computer where they share some of the games with the Leapster in a more cut down form (according to reviews anyway).

Among Us' two sheets in the Switch section could probably merged into the PC version's Console-Exclusive Content section.

Hmm... Could do with a second opinion but it depends whether the Switch controller sprites are in the files for the PC version. Sure the other consoles prompts are "console exclusive" but you can at least use Xbox based controllers on PC and PS4/5 has some support (but not as much and much of it uses a tool). Besides who knows, the PC version might get a patch/update where it can support those controllers officially, it is common for PC versions to support gamepads.

If they are, go ahead but if not then they can stay.

How about an easier way to switch between letter pages?
My main problem with how it works here is that it's simply not convenient to click each letter one by one, so a simple "page next" and "page previous" option would be a boon for browsing, if it's possible.

I suppose that wouldn't be impossible but it would require a bit more work to set up than it would seem so I'd like to get a feel for how useful people think this style of navigation would be before working on getting it implemented as it doesn't reduce the number of clicks at all - just changes where you're making that click (from the top of the page to the bottom).
