I'd like to submit an update to a spritesheet I was involved in making. The submission was a joint project between me and another user in the past, when the sheet was originally submitted.
However, attempting to edit the spritesheet now seems to be blocked for me. I cannot see the Revise button on that submission. I can see it on other sheets I had submitted before, just not this one.
Would like TSR site admins' help in resolving this, as I think it happens to be a permissions issue.
Submission in question: [here]
Thanks ahead of time!
As far as I'm aware, the missing revision button means there is another revision currently pending. You will just have to wait until that revision has been accepted or rejected to revise it again.

What revision? I have no such submissions pending.

Anyone can submit a revision to any submission across the VG Resource sites; it doesn't necessarily have to be the original submitter. So there's just a pending revision by someone else for your sheet.

... Somebody else is trying to modify the spritesheet we worked on?
What kind of system is this?
Surely that can't be right.
Quite a while back, we'd implemented a system onto the site where only the original submitters for custom sprites were allowed to post revisions for their submissions, particularly because we had too many complaints whenever someone else made a revision their customs (even if it was just to fix simple things or add more sprites in the same style) -- in hindsight it probably should've been that way in the first place.
In edge cases like this for group efforts, what I'd suggest is to submit the new revision as if it were a new submission, and explain in the submission notes that it's meant to be a revision, and one of the staff members can take care of updating the original submission.

Alright, I've gone ahead and done so. Hopefully this can be resolved without any further confusion.
Though I do wonder why the system wouldn't detect me as one of the original submitters. Ehh, any system has jank in it.
Thanks for the clarification, RTB!

Huh???
Quote:You're receiving this PM because I'm afraid we have rejected your sheet of "Items (Zero Mission-Style)" for "Metroid Customs" under the console "Custom / Edited".
Your sheet was not accepted for the following reason:
What happened??? Of course I'm trying to update an existing sheet, I have an update to post on a sheet I was directly involved with making! This is so confusing.

We don't exactly have a system in place to convert pending submissions into revisions, so the original sheet had to be edited using your pending submission. We don't have an "accepted, but..." option for pending submissions, so the pending submission needed to be rejected after its purpose was served so as to not create a duplicate on the page.

Geez... Duct tape and prayers, huh?
But okay, at least it explains what happened. Thank you.
