[x]We're back! After a failure of the drives in our database server, all data has been restored from last night's backup. The last 24 hours or so of submissions will likely need to be re-made but everything else should be okay. Please let me now if you notice anything not working as it should though. Thanks! -Petie

Amiga ripping?
#1
I recently downloaded some Amiga roms and want to rip Castlevania for the Amiga (maybe some other ones) but what is the best emulator to use?

I tried one called WinFellow (which seems to be the best one) but for some reason, all of the roms that I load take me to the anti-piracy screen. So either I need to know how to bypass the cracked screens or what other emulators can I use? (That are screenshot friendly and has bg layer disable)

Use WinUAE.

So I realized that you have to wait awhile to bypass the "cracked" screen, which is fine and all (I managed to get the screen setup so that it doesn't look all stretched and horrible) but what I'd like to know is that does WinUAE support the layer removal feature? It makes sprites and backgrounds so much easier to rip that way.

Pressing shift+f12 will open the debugger. There you can type Ms 0 to disable sprites or Mb 0 to disable backgrounds.

Thanks a lot! Will try that out tonight, but I will keep WinFellow just in case if something goes wrong.
