I know it's not something VG Resource is really concerned with, but the game has a unique story and it would be nice to have the text from it. Perhaps someone here has the skills to extract it. Thanks!
I'll look into it now.

We can try, but if we can't I am sure that there are enough videos for every event's story for someone to manually type it out.

The story is approx. 150 episodes, it would take forever to type out. The Japanese text isn't on Youtube, so it would be handy to have it, as they often make radical changes for the English version.
Also, they had two special stories: Puyo Puyo and Easter event. These aren't on YouTube, so it looks like they will be lost forever (although, I'm guessing the data for these stories isn't in the game anymore any way).
Best of luck to all who have the skills to try!

The data might be still there as sonic runners is known for taking up so much data because it never deletes anything, or at least it used to last time I checked. So if someone played sonic runners during every event and never deleted anything they should still have the data.

I wanted to try and get the model of King Boom Boo from this game but I haven't been able to play it myself for extracting files. Can someone get him?

You need a program to extract the "ipa" cache data from your ios device. From there you just extract the ipa either by program, or simply changing the extension to .zip and extracting it that way. From there everything is standard unity files, so Unity Studio should get it. Just takes some time to go through everything and find what you want.

Thanks I will try that out soon, by the way is there a list of all the versions, updated, and events for sonic runners anywhere?
(Also doesn't apple devices when you connect to the apple computer out older versions or unused data from apps in the trash, but you can take then out and technically extract data from it?)

No. That is the official Unity development kit, which will not help you with reverse-engineering. This is Unity Studio: http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=11807
Last time I tried Unity Studio with Sonic Runners files, it didn't work. Plus, Unity Studio has not been updated since December, so it most likely will not work.

NOTE : in internet apparently there are a mod of Sonic Runners that don't need internet connection. Not tried.
For ripping, Unity Android builds (.apk + .obb(simple archive)) are (far)more easy to rip.

Where can I find this mod of Runners that don't need an internet connection. I have a few friends that still enjoy this game and still want to play it even after the game ends, myself included.

If all files are downloaded at the start of the game, then it will work. But as far as I remember, the game files were not stored in the .obb, but rather in its own folder. The .obb only contains the files needed to download all other files.
