Didn't see a topic, felt like it was a game worth discussion? Since the Arkham series IS very popular.
I did a short review of it but didn't really go into story detail: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayX7dGiMsuI
But yeah. What did you think of this game, if you got it? I thought that if they had just fixed up the many unrelenting technical problems it would've been right up there with Asylum and City. Maybe not as good as City, but certainly not a terrible game. As it is, with how many glitches and crashes I've received, it's hard for me to say this is up there with City and Asylum. While still an above-average game and a lot of fun to play, it's frustrating because I'm used to a more meticulous experience.
The story, however, I'd say is the best in the series. Though the twist partway through...
Was kinda weak, it did lead up to one of the best endings to a game I've ever played, so I feel had they handled the twist better I would've liked it even more. As it stands though, the overall story is great, and the title "Arkham Origins" makes sense.
And I'm not even touching I Am The Night mode until they release a patch to fix the crashes. Then again, this is the same company that said releasing a patch for Arkham City Armored Edition would be "impossible" because "can't do that on Nintendo wah".
All in all, I liked it. And had fun. I don't expect it to have much of an impact on Rocksteady's next Arkham game, but it wasn't a bad stopgap. They just should've put a little more time and care into the game.
What are your thoughts?
