Separating it from the other since the other derailed.
Quote:The following characters are eligible for Mod.Gen sprites, due to having participated with Sonic in games or other media. Note that Super Smash Brothers is not currently part of this, for a few reasons (Not being a 'Sonic' game, the sheer scale to an already technically massive project, etc).

If you see a character listed there that has a sprite but think that it requires a facelift, feel free to try and it will be considered. If you see a character -without- a sprite listed there, feel free to make one. It will then be considered for the representative sprite for that character for Mod.Gen.
If you wish to talk about styles still, please talk about that in the other post.

Ristar cameos in the All-Star Racing DLC, jsyk. I didn't see him on the list.
Also, do characters from Sega Superstar Tennis count? They aren't there either.
Edit: I also just remembered: Archie Sonic teamed up with a number Image Comics heroes in Sonic Super Special #7:

Ristar? Sure.
As for the other Archie comic crossovers, I need to sit on it a bit. In that case there'd also be Sabrina sprites and such...

Oh really? I didn't know about the Sabrina sprites.
I'm not much of a spriter myself, but I'm a bit of an encyclopedia. If you already knew about them, I apologize. I just figured I'd help and try to assist in creating as thorough and full a list as possible.

Nah, nah. I appreciate that. I'm just wondering about how necessary they'd be. I mean the Archie section is already incredibly full without 'all' the characters...

For Archie, considering their HUGE cast, should be released in character packs, like with the starter pack we have now so that way it doesn't get too cluttered.
Set One would be the Knothole Freedom Fighters + Snively, for example, then we'll go to Set Two: Liberation and Set Three: Enerjak 1 and so forth. And as for certain characters since their debut appear more frequently than others, would get their own set too.
Or just start with the major Archie characters (Julie-Su, Geoffrey, Mogul, Locke, Scourge, etc.) and do others as they're requested. The REAL major characters (Sally, Antoine, Bunnie, Rotor, Snivley, Naugus) will be included in the SatAm series.

Actually, myself and Deebs discussed this a while ago. The main characters/Freedom Fighter Groups/Villains will get 'proper' sheets like Sonic. Minor/Background characters that rarely show up will get set poses. Eventually we'll get around to putting together a small base sheet with set poses for them.
At the moment, the focus is Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Eggman. Until we can get these guys sorted, the Archie section is mostly going to have the base sprite.
Between myself and Deebs, we've filled the Archie section quite considerably. I've been more focused on base sprites more than anything. I feel if the character has at least a base with and without arms, if someone needs them, they can make the poses they need.
