'cause it looks bad?
Try applying it elsewhere, imagine a show with detailed anime characters and stickmen. Does that mix well? Wouldn't that take away from the show? Style mixing of any kind has the same effect, it makes it look weird and halfassed.

But this isn't going to be anime and stick men. They'll be different, but won't be drastically different.

Yeah, that was just a drastic example, the point still stand though that two styles side by side don't look very good. Take M&L and Donkey Kong Country for example, they look absolutely nothing alike, put them side by side and it really looks unappealing.

Link ripped by Unknown, Ganondorf made by King Kirby
This flagrant waste of time + example brought to you by the committee for promoting Scarlet Weather Rhapsody.

Yeah.
Sprite mixing is pretty much a cardinal sin around here. And I agree.
That and I've seen your work before.

Because sprite mixing entails enlarging some of the sprites.
And that looks hella ugly. Link will have pixels as big as Kirby's face.

The sprite mixing was going to be part of the comedy in it. It was going to be called "The Poorly Sprited Game Adventure".

A comic about breaking the fourth wall. Great.
Really, just give up. It's a bad concept.

Okay, I'll make my own comic with paint or something without sprite mixing. Someone can lock this.
