If you want some help I could make some sprites as well. I have a full moveset thought out for him.

All of your suggestions regarding the idle animation I already have planned Smile

I think, at this stage, I'm alright with working on it on my own, but thank you for the kind offer. Since I don't have any solid move sets down for him yet, you're more than welcome to post what you have for a move set.

In the interest of not clogging up the thread I'll refrain from posting progress until I finish (or get close to finishing) the animation.

Highly suprised AG hasn't done this yet.

Okay here's what I had in mind:
Lone B: Plasma Bullets - Shoots plasma bullets from his mouth
Side B: Claw Swipe - Similar to Bowser's Side B in Melee but grabs with his feet (AngelGlory's idea)
Up B: Air Pounce - Similar to Dedede's Up B but stars don't appear when he lands
Down B: Gale Force - Flaps his wings and sends a wind force to blow opponents away (AngelGlory's idea). It can be repeated in a fasion similar to DK's Down B

Standard Combo - Two swipes with his claws and a swing of his tail
Grab Pummel - Bites the opponent
Down Throw - Similar to DK's Down Throw
Back Aerial - Slaps with his wings
Forward Aerial - Bites forward
Down Aerial - Swings tail downwards

and that's all I have

Bleh. Kinda halfassed the arms. Not sure if I'm going to add that cape thing either.

I think the arms and the lower body need work. The lower body seems too... thin, maybe? To me it just looks off.

I've had a few ideas regarding Ridley's specials:
His Neutral B will obviously be his plasmic fireballs or whatever that he spits out. It'll either be X fireballs in rapid succession in Y direction, or X fireballs at once in a certain pattern in Y direction. Not sure which right now, because he has a history of doing either.
I like the idea of using his wings to produce a wind effect for his Down B, but I think it would only work when Ridley is on the ground. When he's in the air, the obvious effect would be to push Ridley back, and in that way it'd have two uses (which is great considering how situational wind/water attacks are): One for pushing the opponent away (probably recovery prevention) and one for quickly (faster than a dash, farther than a roll, most likely) dashing backwards in order to evade death by way of dodging or recovering. The recovery aspect can be balanced by disallowing the use of Ridley's Up-B move until he lands.
For a Side B, I hesitate to do something like Bowser's Melee Side B because it would seem like a waste; Ridley is known for grabbing Samus, but that can be taken care of in his actual Grab moves. I was thinking a different reference: In the Metroid Manga, we learn that Ridley can heal himself by consuming dead bodies. Obviously there are no deaths in Smash Bros., but there's an idea: Ridley takes a gigantic chomp out of whoever is in front of him, doing medium damage/knockback and healing Ridley the same amount. If I do go this route, it'll animate as if Ridley just tore off a leg or something, in that he won't release his grip after he takes the bite. That is, he grabs (bites) the character and swings his head back and forward, never releasing his jaw, and there'd be (read: in my head I see) a big "sword-hit" effect as the character goes flying away, imitating the same effect of a torn-off limb/heap of flesh. It's just so positively evil!

That seems too gruesome an idea for a Special. Smash Bros doesn't show blood and severed limbs (despite the fact that some characters use swords). But that's just my opinion.

That's just it: There is no blood, no severed limbs. As far as Smash Bros is concerned, it's no worse than you get when Bowser bites someone in Melee after his Side B. No, good sir: The severed limbs aspect is gotten purely from inference. It'll look sinister and evil, but not graphic in the literal sense.

It's not NES/Gameboy 8-bit. NES/Gameboy 8-bit has only 4 colors, including transparency. Yours has 6 colors, including transparency.

Not to mention, Gameboy provided a green palette that he wanted people to use for the 8-bit sprites.

Creds to Gabby Jay for making the body, so I made the arms and the 8-bit idea for GB's final smash.

Okay, I think it's good.

Btw, she's playable. I just wish I could animate this into a good idle animation.
