I think you guys are talented enough to help me out with some serious C+C. Really I'm looking for some critic that would point me in the right direction of making Galaxy man have that prismatic shiny that CD's have. The first one is my second attempt after actually looking at a CD, while the second is my first attempt. I'm still not sure which way to go.

i think you need to put it into more of a pattern rather than random colours

More like this? My biggest issue is whenever I try to make something prismatic, I tend to lose its shading. Is there a good way to avoid this without adding too many extra colors to the pallete?

the third one is the best so far but it needs more contrast and needs to fade to grey more.

Thank you so much. Its starting to look much better now, and I learned something to boot.
I still can't believe this is at pallete...

I REALLY like the first one but the fourth is the best CD-like effect.
