RE: SSBB Sprites - Alpha Six - 07-17-2009

I love Mario and Luigi. Kirby's face is off; eyes are too big, and Samus's pose is off; her left leg is longer than her right. Something about Game and Watch' sstance is weird as well.

RE: SSBB Sprites - Medevenx - 07-17-2009

Wow, actual criticism. Wink Thanks! For Samus, do you mean HER left or OUR left? I think you mean her left (right in our perspective). If I move the entire right leg (her left) 1 pixel to the left (OUR FRICKING LEFT), will it solve the problem?

Supposedly, my new Mr. Game & Watch is aimed to look like this:

Here are some choices on which you think is most similar to the old Mr. Game & Watch.

Since you think the eyes are too big (I couldn't make small but good eyes, I had to make it big), here are some choices.

For Kirby, have you tried making his eyes thinner?
Like, something along these lines?:

Sorry for editing without permission. : X

Incidentally, in Kirby's animation, his face could shift a bit with the arms and legs.

RE: SSBB Sprites - Medevenx - 07-17-2009

Thanks. I'll be using those eyes from now on. Wink I've made updates with new Kirby animations!

You are not offiialy awesome, I have no idea how someone can sprite like that and that well and in detail. Very nice sprites.

RE: SSBB Sprites - Kitsu - 07-18-2009

Mario and Luigi are rather blocky. Their hats and hands could stand to be more round. Also, Samus's posture is really awkward; she looks like she's about to fall back onto her butt.

Kirby, however, is pretty good. G&W is also good.

RE: SSBB Sprites - Neslug - 07-18-2009

I think Kirby's expression when he's running is kinda bland. I think it's the mouth.

RE: SSBB Sprites - Superliger - 07-18-2009

THOSE ARE AWESOME!!!!! Hope to see more.

RE: SSBB Sprites - Medevenx - 07-18-2009

Update
Samus
I'm going to completely redo Samus because of her stance.
I used the picture at the left as a reference while I should have used the one at the right.

RE: SSBB Sprites - Alpha Six - 07-18-2009

It's not the reference; it's because the way you have the legs positioned make it look like an awkward stance.

RE: SSBB Sprites - Medevenx - 07-18-2009

It didn't look too awkward on my old sprite.

RE: SSBB Sprites - Alpha Six - 07-18-2009

Your old sprite has the legs in the correct position. The new one has her left leg extended out too long and her right leg doesn't bend as much as it should.

RE: SSBB Sprites - Medevenx - 07-19-2009

I see. Anyway, new Samus WIP.

New Samus WIP done. Better?

RE: SSBB Sprites - Neslug - 07-19-2009

I think the first one is better, second looks a bit too much on the skinny side.
