RE: redblueyellow's submissions - Garamonde - 04-23-2013

I have a bunch of sprites here and here that Previous extracted for me back months ago (he couldn't get all of them iirc but there might be something missing that you can put on your sheets next time you are back into ripping or whatever). maybe they'll help you out. Big Grin

RE: redblueyellow's submissions - Blob55 - 04-24-2013

Does it include the ones from Sky?

RE: redblueyellow's submissions - Garamonde - 04-24-2013

It's been quite a while since I last ripped from PMD2, but if I remember correctly, the only gender differences that were in the game were the more noticeable ones of the pokémon, since the sprites were so small.

For example, any gender differences that were notches/ grooves (pikachu, gible family), color changes (doduo family, hippopotas family, snover, magikarp family), or small additions (combee) were included, while gender differences that involved enlarging/ shrinking parts (gulpin family, ursaring, rhyhorn family, etc.) would have been too small to notice, and were not included.

Just in case, I'll check all of the examples of gender differences in the game over the summer, and if it looks like I passed over any, I will update the sheet. (I need to make a list of all of the things I'm going to be doing this summer! Tongue)

Ursaring, Gulpin and maybe Rhyhorn don't have any sprite differences. The Buizel lines and Xatu are really noticeable from the back.

I find it odd that the Shinx line and Octillery don't have gender differences, because you would normally be able to see them in their portraits.

RE: redblueyellow's submissions - Blob55 - 04-29-2013

OK, that should be it for the lists.
I've also noticed that none of the new starters in Sky have any of their starter sprites ripped.

RE: redblueyellow's submissions - Garamonde - 05-03-2013

yea we'll... get to that at some point (I would but I'm just unsure on the amount of sprites the DS games have compared to the GBA prequels, sometimes the buggers had extra sprites for like one or two moves and were kinda obscure, found this out when I tile-ripped PMD1), although it's preferred if you don't triple post in someone else's thread.

RE: redblueyellow's submissions - redblueyellow - 05-03-2013

Don't worry Blob, once summer comes around (give me about 6-7 weeks for school to be over with), I'll have a huge list of games to tackle, including the PMD games. I'm thinking of possibly making a ripping project for the remainder of the sprites (if needed, and if there is enough left to deem project-worthy), but regardless I'll get started come summer.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

It's been a while, hasn't it? Tongue I'll have a few more rips up from the game this week, and then it's another hiatus until summer. I was just eager to get these up! Also, I felt it would serve as a nice preview of what's to come. Wink

RE: redblueyellow's submissions - Garamonde - 05-12-2013

wooooo! I'll save these for Ton since I figure he might like this. Wink

RE: redblueyellow's submissions - Ton - 05-12-2013

Ooh, very cool. Awesome job!

RE: redblueyellow's submissions - Random Talking Bush - 05-12-2013

The pouch items got shrunken down by Photobucket and its stupid new image dimensions limit...

The image is still the correct dimensions, but photobucket has been stupid lately as far as linking directly to the image. I'll try and fix them real quick.

I'll probably just switch straight over to minus once summer comes around...

RE: redblueyellow's submissions - Davy Jones - 05-13-2013

Nice sheets, I played through the game but it wasn't that good in comparison to previous titles. Too linear and I didn't like the three main areas at all, including the negative worlds with all these guards. The boss fights with Girahim are especially annoying.

Zelda, Bado/Groose and the final boss are the best things in the game, imo.

By the way, minus is actually way better than photobucket, but has a chaotic gallery system. I haven't figured out why it asks me to create/choose a gallery and sometimes not.
