RE: 'Pokemon World' - JoshR691 - 03-02-2010

Finished fixing Venusaur, I like this head a lot more since it actually looks like Venusaur now

RE: 'Pokemon World' - A.J. Nitro - 03-02-2010

Oh yes, that's better. Looks more like Venasaur's official art.

RE: 'Pokemon World' - Chaoxys - 03-02-2010

I'm sorry but this has been bugging me. Is that how Venasaur really runs? I pictured him walking if nothing else due to his size and weight.

RE: 'Pokemon World' - Mallacxo - 03-02-2010

Looking good there.

RE: 'Pokemon World' - A.J. Nitro - 03-02-2010

Now that you mention it, I'm wondering the same thing. Could you animate Venasaur's running, Josh, just to see how it looks?

RE: 'Pokemon World' - JoshR691 - 03-02-2010

Sure, here's the old version animated:

Now that I look at it, it could use another frame, since the front leg skips so far back, I'll fix that

I also made him run like that because "it is capable of making incredible leaps for such a heavy Pokémon, and it's able to dodge attacks and jump across close rock formations" (From Bulbapedia's Venusaur Page) Otherwise, he's probably be walking

RE: 'Pokemon World' - Chaoxys - 03-02-2010

The tree seems a bit stiff in terms of the petals and it's overall movement is a bit jumpy.

RE: 'Pokemon World' - JoshR691 - 03-02-2010

I see what you mean, I'm working on fixing the jumpiness, and I'm trying to make the petals move more

RE: 'Pokemon World' - A.J. Nitro - 03-02-2010

While we're on the subject of Venasaur, shouldn't his body have the same detail as his legs? I think it should. Otherwise it looks too plain.

RE: 'Pokemon World' - JoshR691 - 03-02-2010

Not to argue too much, but the only reference I found that showed his side didn't have any of the bumps:

Edit: I think I got the run down:

Before I post the finished version, I'll make the leaves go up as well

RE: 'Pokemon World' - A.J. Nitro - 03-02-2010

I stand corrected.

And is it just me, or do the petals need another frame? I mean the running is okay, but the petals almost seem to have some sort of flicking motion.

umm...ya it does look like it, but not alot

RE: 'Pokemon World' - Chaoxys - 03-02-2010

I just noticed, but his back legs look a bit funky in that animation.

RE: 'Pokemon World' - JoshR691 - 03-02-2010

Hmm...How do you mean 'Funky?' if you mean when the Foot's forward it looks bigger, I'm noticing that too (And I'm fixing it now)

Also, A.J. I'm noticing that with the Petals too...For whatever reason, I forgot to make the petals go up (So it just kind of ends up...up) I'll fix that

Edit: I think I got the Petals right now:

Just putting up the sheet now before I get to sleep in case it's fine now:

RE: 'Pokemon World' - Locked Achievement - 03-03-2010

The petals animation needs to be smoother, because they, kind of, just appear , where they are. But im loving this otherwise!
