Speaking of Venusaur's gender difference, have you been making the gender differences for other Pokemon? I haven't really been paying attention to it.

RE: 'Pokemon World' - Ton - 07-28-2009

He has. Check Pikachu, for instance.

RE: 'Pokemon World' - JoshR691 - 07-28-2009

Remade May, since I haven't fixed any trainers up in a while:

I'll get back to the Pokemon now

Also, yes, I've been adding Gender Differences since...well, since the start of the Project

RE: 'Pokemon World' - A.J. Nitro - 07-28-2009

Nice, but a few things:
- May's clothes are suppose to be shorter, showing more skin.
Just check her R/S/E sprites on the site.
- Emerald May also doesn't have sleeves, I believe.

-Right, I knew something looked off...
-Weird, I can see that I accidentally left the sleeves on the poses for the 'Return' Animation, but all of the others don't...either way, I'll fix it

I'll fix both of these problems soon (Shouldn't take too long)...Nice Catch man, I can't believe I missed that

Edit: Fixed (First Post and the Post before AJ's Comment)

RE: 'Pokemon World' - Cshad - 07-28-2009

Is Gyarados recent?

RE: 'Pokemon World' - A.J. Nitro - 07-28-2009

They're better now. And yes, Gyarados is recent.

RE: 'Pokemon World' - Cshad - 07-28-2009

I'll edit this post later, but I have to say this now - Gyarados is awful. Gyarados is not just a billion ball shapes stacked underneath eachother. Why is he so skinny? Who don't the ball shapes get smaller as it goes down? You're going to have to actually draw gyarados - pieces won't work. Hes not just balls like steelix.

RE: 'Pokemon World' - JoshR691 - 07-28-2009

@ Cshad: It's semi-recent...Anyway, he's a Bunch of Ball shapes to try to mimic the 'Ranger' Gyarados, which is just a bunch of balls Strung together, as seen here: http://www.spriters-resource.com/ds/pkmnranger/sheet/8630

Anyway, I was thinking about redoing him, so this explanation won't really matter much, but the Ball Shapes do get smaller as it gets closer to the tail (Not by much, maybe two pixels). I made him too skinny without really paying attention...Gyarados is a segmented Pokemon, granted I took it a little too far with the Ball shapes, since it's more like a Round Trapezoid-like shape.

Edit: Alright, before I leave tonight, I wanted to try to make at least one Pose for the new Gyarados. I still have him made as a Segmented Pokemon, but no 'Balls', thicker Segments, and they get smaller near the Tail...I just wanted to get your opinions on it before I continue (Especially if you guys think this one is worse), since this one pose took me (Basically) from the time I posted this until the time I made this edit:

Keep in mind, these could be the final version for the segment Outlines, Shading is subject to change (Since there isn't really much)...And before it's brought up, He's using the same head, since the body was the main problem

Oh, and if you need to compare, The Old Gyarados is in my Signature

RE: 'Pokemon World' - lonely_cubone - 07-29-2009

I'd say that Gyarados looks better, except maybe where it curves at the bottom. It seems a little bit too sharp there, and the segment right on the bend that's closer to its head (the last one before it curves) is a little bit too small. Other than that though, it looks way better. Magby and May are great too.

RE: 'Pokemon World' - Radman - 07-29-2009

You make some kick awesome sprites, Josh! I'm using ur Lugia in one of my comics.
You wouldn't happen to do requests tho, would u? =\

RE: 'Pokemon World' - A.J. Nitro - 07-29-2009

He's better now, but that segment between the last 2 white fins looks a little sharp. Just take that sharp corner away and it's good.

RE: 'Pokemon World' - KP Shadow - 07-30-2009

Hey, I have a question. Would it be okay if I were to edit some of your sprites for something on another forum.

RE: 'Pokemon World' - JoshR691 - 07-31-2009

As long as I get Credit, it's fine

RE: 'Pokemon World' - King_Ooga_TonTon - 07-31-2009

Other than a few sharp turns, which people have already pointed out, Gyarados is awesome. Good job! *thumbs up* Smile
