Two grammar mistakes:
http://rks.wikia.com/wiki/Rosenkreuzstilette
Die geplant Zukunft -> Die geplante Zukunft
Liebes Strum -> Liebes Sturm

Trivia: "Seelegewehr" sounds also funny, but the real description is Seelengewehr (Soul Gun).
Whoops. Corrected both of the grammar mistakes.

RE: Random Talking Bush's Submissions - Random Talking Bush - 01-25-2010

So, Touhou Hisoutensoku version 1.10 was released a few days back, fixing a bunch of bugs in the game. They also added in some new sprites for each character (some more than others -- Sanae has a bunch, Suwako has NONE, for example). So, I've taken the time away from my side project to do update two of the characters I ripped. Suwako's sheet didn't have anything new to update with.

[Image: meiling_icon.png] [Image: sanae_icon.png]

Here's the changes for those two sheets:

Meiling:
- Attack A frame 4, Aerial Attack A frame 3 and Spell Call/Spell C frames 2 and 8 have been updated. (Cleaning up,
- Spell B2 added (new aerial version of Spell B).

Sanae:
- Stand frame 6 updated. (Sanae's right leg was transparent...)
- Attack B1 added, renamed old Attack B1 and B2 to Attack B2 and B3.
- Attack C1, C4, C5 AND C6 added, renamed old Attack C1 and C2 to Attack C2 and C3.
- Spell Animation C frames 7 and 8 were updated. (I've left the originals for these on the very right side of the line, so you can see how updated they were.)
- Suwako D added, even though it's just re-used sprites from the playable Suwako.
- And the effect that goes with it was added to Sanae's SFX sheet, but it's not new -- it's also from the playable Suwako.
- Palettes 2, 5, 7 and 8 corrected.

...and as for why I haven't been ripping much lately, it's because my computer's power supply crapped out a couple of weeks ago, and I have to get a job to pay for a new one. So, I have to use my old computer for now (the power supply is incompatible with my computer, so I can't swap them), and it can't play games worth beans -- it's so slow it renders them unplayable. Which I why I haven't been able to help Crazy Koopa with his M&L3 rips yet. :<

Aw, I'm sorry man.

So the OP poster ripped sprits from "magical heroines plus!" I here. Well, I'm just wondering WHERE to download the game "magical heroines plus!" from. A google search turns up NO download sites for the game. Anybody know where to get the game itself? Please reply if you do.

Hah hah hah. I don't know, either! I was able to rip Dejiko's sprites by downloading an update file for the game off its official website (since everything for the character is stored in one file). I really don't know where to find the game. XP

RE: Random Talking Bush's Submissions - DarkOverord - 01-30-2010

Thought Sanae might've, wasn't 100%, I knew a few characters have new SFX too (woooooo) but I don't think the 123 additions do.

And sorry to hear about your computer issues though mate! Very Sad

RE: Random Talking Bush's Submissions - Random Talking Bush - 03-27-2010

When was the last time I submitted something? Almost two months ago? Unacceptable!

So, I've gotten myself sidetracked from my MegaMan sprite ripping for one reason: Azumanga Daioh Puzzle Bobble, which was able to be emulated as of a few weeks ago. Being an Azumanga Daioh fan, and a Puzzle Bobble nut, I just had to rip the sprites from it. Plus, it's an official Azumanga game, which is a change from all the doujin games I ripped the sprites from.

Not quite done ripping the graphics from this game yet (I've got everyone else's photos, the bubbles, frames and every miscellaneous thing left to rip), but I'll be continuing on with ripping the MegaMan sprites next. Especially since it takes a while to get all 15 photos for each character (6 are from 1P Puzzle, 6 are from 1P After-School [Hard] Puzzle, and the last three are from clearing those two modes, and VS. COM).

...Oh, and Yukari is a cheating *****.

Great rips, man. Fast and excellent. As always.Surprise

RE: Random Talking Bush's Submissions - Maneko - 03-27-2010

Congratulations, man. I don't know how did you managed to rip these game's graphics, but it was totally worth it.

Same way I rip from a lot of PC games. By making a memory dump of the game while it's running, and then opening the memory dump in TiledGGD. Cute

RE: Random Talking Bush's Submissions - Maneko - 03-28-2010

Hmm, it didn't worked for me, but now at least I know it can be done. Thanks, man.

I've been interested in ripping from Dreamcast, but I can't even get the emulator to work properly. Think it's my Windows 7...
I might dual boot XP with it, so I can.

It'd be cool if you could do up a quick tutorial on dumping? Heart

Ah, my younger brother has a computer with Windows 7, so I can see if I can get the emulator running on it.

Anyway, as for dumping the memory... What I use is ProcessMemoryDumper. All you have to do is start up PMD, click on the emulator/PC game in the processes list, and then "Dump Process". After a few seconds, it puts a *.DMP file in the same folder, with the name of the process. Then, like I said, you open up the memory dump in TiledGGD and locate the graphics. (Most of the graphics I've ripped were 32bpp, linear, with the alpha location at the end, but they could vary.)

I've been able to get a lot of graphics from PC games that way (most of the PC games I've ripped from was with the help of that program). However, a few of the PC games I tried didn't work with this method, like BattleNyo, for example, but it has worked with every other game I've tried.

RE: Random Talking Bush's Submissions - Deathbringer - 03-28-2010

Would it work with old PC games like Commander Keen or Captain Comic?

I'm not sure, I've only tested it with newer games.

(EDIT: I don't think it works with older PC games, sorry. I don't see anything recognizable in a Commander Keen memory dump...)

(EDIT 2: Never mind, I found something!)

So yeah, it can potentially be used to rip the graphics from an older PC game. However, the lack of palettes may make it difficult...
