RE: Random Talking Bush's Submissions - Garamonde - 04-06-2013

oh cool! I was just looking through this thread earlier and noticed you said you were gonna do the weapons 'n stuff. I'm sure you know by now what we think of your stuff. Wink

RE: Random Talking Bush's Submissions - Random Talking Bush - 04-06-2013

And on another note, I'm gonna be setting up a poll as to what people would like to see me rip next... because frankly I'm not sure myself.

(EDIT: Poll's up. Vote for whatever you want, multiple choice is enabled, but please don't vote for eveything at once.)

There is actually something missing from that game?

Btw, voted for it (if there's something left) + the RPG titles.

Yeah, I still need to rip all of the backgrounds and tilesets, the HUD and also Reimu's sprites. Then I've got everything.

RE: Random Talking Bush's Submissions - Garamonde - 04-06-2013

er... crud... I didn't see Mega Man 1-6-9-10 and Bomberman Party Edition on the list before I finalized my chosen options...
do admins have the power to edit others' votes? Sick

RE: Random Talking Bush's Submissions - Davy Jones - 04-06-2013

If you need someone to put stuff on a sheet, just tell me.

Added a vote for each of 'em.

I'll be alright, but thanks for the offer.

RE: Random Talking Bush's Submissions - Garamonde - 04-07-2013

excuse me RTB, how long are you planning to keep the poll open?

For a minimum of a week.

RE: Random Talking Bush's Submissions - Omegajak - 04-09-2013

Can I ask why people really want to see RTB rip Megaman X4-6 stuff? Like this is the guy who ripped stuff from Mischief Makers. That is a 3D rendered sprite game...that is by far more impressive and would be way more interesting to see done.

Also Sprites Inc is STILL a website you know. You don't HAVE to wait for ANYONE to rip those games because those games are pretty much shredded.

RE: Random Talking Bush's Submissions - Garamonde - 04-09-2013

well, I think his main goal was Mega Man X himself (correct me if I'm wrong RTB) or Zero maybe idk, from those three games, which is difficult to do and INC.'s version is incomplete in some aspects. if he rips other things that'd be all the better too and INC. certainly doesn't have everything.
me I couldn't be happier with this result since I'm a die-hard fan, but I'd also like to see those Bomberman things that seemed to keep getting pushed aside...
also curious what he would plan to rip for 1-6, 9-10 since he's done Mega Man himself already. and as a random honest opinion, I've seen enough Disgaea related stuff, so seeing him do something like this to get more different kinds of things ripped is really refreshing, and yes even Mischief Makers would be nice to see too.
but, as to try and sound fair here (even though I only contributed as one of X's votes), I'm sure he would end up ripping from those other games before too long anyways since he likes to jump around. Tongue

Yeah, it's mainly for an all-in-one X spritesheet like the one I made for X1-X3, complete with the armour pieces separate. I'd also rip Zero's sprites while I'm at it, because I could've sworn that Sprites Inc. was actually missing a sprite or two. Or maybe that's just me thinking incorrectly again, but I know there is actually one for X missing.

As for the original Mega Man series, I've still got Proto Man (got all but the 9/10 sprites) and Dr. Wily (just need the ones from 2, 3 and 6), and I could rip some more backgrounds that aren't on the site yet.

And jump around? You got that right.

THROUGH FIRE, JUSTICE IS SERVED! HEEEEEEEEEEERE'S LUNAR!

...I also went and added "specifics" to the poll, things in particular that I've got either ripped but not organized, or only partial sprite sheets.

Fixing the palettes for these sprites is NOT fun. All of the sprites normally have a "checkerboard" pattern of colours that are 1 value different from each other, therefore quadrupling the palette size -- it's a pain to optimize it back to the proper appearance. Cry

...But yeah. That's the only thing I've got for now. More things later, as always.

Oho. A tad late but awesome, I was actually planning to give you a poke about 13.5 at some point XD; Hadn't really got round to prodding at it much (Seen as it's only a demo, I was kinda "Oh I'm sure I can wait until August...").

Goodness though, those sprites are super pretty when outside of the filtering.

Mischief Makers. Hell yeah.
