That has no resemblance to anything Nitty's ever done.

It's not half bad, but could use a lot more contrast...

It's too clean and accurate. Martin's style is basically a mixture of strange unfamiliar colours being put together correctly and sloppy doodles that look surprisingly good. It's the kind of thing that can't be done easily. He also uses really saturated colours with more notable contrast than what you've done. I say try again but don't focus so much on accuracy and aim more for stylization.

i took a shot at it myseld but i think its too big and headless

I know it didn't turn out very nitty-y, it just came out that way. Eh, I still like how it came out.
also the one I was using as a ref was one of his cleaner pieces.
