3d Modelling - Mabelma - 03-22-2009

Post some good programs that are easy to make 3d models. You can also post tutorials and actual models that you have done. Post a screen shot of it or the complete file of the model also say what program you used to make the 3d model.

RE: 3d Modelling - Ultimecia - 03-22-2009

I think this topic should be moved to Creativity sub-forum

RE: 3d Modelling - Mabelma - 03-22-2009

What sub forum? If so please someone move it.

3Ds max is overcomplicated but gets the job done. I've heard lightwave is good.

RE: 3d Modelling - Mabelma - 03-22-2009

Thanks I'll look for lightwave and look a bit of 3d max although it's not free. Post programs that are free.

RE: 3d Modelling - GrooveMan.exe - 03-22-2009

I do wonder if there's a really basic one that makes DS-levels of simple polygon models. There's something about that blockiness that's... endearing.

RE: 3d Modelling - Mabelma - 03-22-2009

Yeah even GrooveMan wonders. I also think that there is an easy program to make 3d stages and character for ds games and other games.

RE: 3d Modelling - Clear_Midnight - 03-22-2009

yes Maya, but it cost $3,000 Sad

RE: 3d Modelling - Mabelma - 03-22-2009

Forget about that one.

RE: 3d Modelling - Clear_Midnight - 03-22-2009

But, I heard Milkshape was good and its FREE. Personally, I'm learning how to use AC3D. You can find it here:

RE: 3d Modelling - Mabelma - 03-22-2009

Thanks I'll look into that one.

RE: 3d Modelling - Clear_Midnight - 03-22-2009

glad to help you. Smile

RE: 3d Modelling - Mabelma - 03-23-2009

Thanks to you I'm going to try that one. Is it easy? or really defficult?
The Character Shop thing is completely awesome it aleady has the animations done for you, you just upload your mesh and fit the bones to the body.
Does anyone know about some other free, easy 3d modelling programs?
