RE: Fantasy Smash Project - Kairos - 05-27-2009 I think we need to go with in style rather than Viewtiful Joe style. RE: Fantasy Smash Project - HyperSonic92 - 05-27-2009 Go with the 2nd one. RE: Fantasy Smash Project - tsr moderation staff - 05-27-2009 Normally I would agree but it seems wrong without the cell shading. I'm considering making two versions and leaving it up to the dude using it and it really wouldn't be much extra effort as I'll probably add in the cell shading afterwards. RE: Fantasy Smash Project - tsr moderation staff - 05-27-2009 coolbro version RE: Fantasy Smash Project - Kitsu - 05-28-2009 I think the non-Viewtiful styled one looks weird because of the hue shifting. It ends up making him pink instead of red. RE: Fantasy Smash Project - tsr moderation staff - 05-28-2009 that's probably because I designed the pallet to be in the VJ style. I'll try and fix it. RE: Fantasy Smash Project - MaverickETC - 05-28-2009 Thanks for the crits, guys . I'll work on it. (05-26-2009, 07:53 PM)Level 1 Rattata (Rags) Wrote: Is he supposed to be playable or an Assist? I was planning on making him a playable character because of a potential moveset, but I may be 'pushing it' with the Kirby characters considering there's already Kirby, D3, MK, and Gooey (which is awesome, by the way). Not to mention that he seems kinda random. I think I should find a "star" character to do (...hey, that gives me an idea XD). Still, I would like to make him playable... RE: Fantasy Smash Project - Kairos - 05-28-2009 Yeah, I'm not sure if common enemies are playable. But then again people wanted Knuckle Joe so... RE: Fantasy Smash Project - HyperSonic92 - 05-28-2009 I did make a Knuckle Joe sprite but it looked crappy. RE: Fantasy Smash Project - D2S-Speed - 05-28-2009 (05-28-2009, 10:11 AM)HyperSonic92 Wrote: I did make a Knuckle Joe sprite but it looked crappy. hey hypersonic do you mind if i could get geno's move set again please so i can finish working on him RE: Fantasy Smash Project - killme - 05-28-2009 (05-27-2009, 10:35 PM)Tuna Unleashed Wrote:Although the 2nd does look cooler, it just doesn't go with the other characters. HyperSonic, could you update the 1st page please And I think Bugsy should be an Assist Trophy. RE: Fantasy Smash Project - Gors - 05-28-2009 OMG, Random Talking Bush just ripped Marina With already-ripped refs, my work should continue faster now RE: Fantasy Smash Project - theking - 05-28-2009 I am going to make leon of star fox what's the style? RE: Fantasy Smash Project - Omegakyogre - 05-28-2009 (05-28-2009, 02:15 PM)luigipalace Wrote: I am going to make leon of star fox It's not really written out with text, other than this guideline: - Characters may have both their head and body facing perfectly sideways; either their body must be 3/4 sideways (and towards the screen) and their head perfectly sideways, or both must be 3/4 sideways. This refers to the character's idle stance. Obviously, rotations are allowed when the character is doing other things. For everything else, I'm pretty sure we're just using the Project's Mario sprite as a style reference. The light source is diagonally in front and above the character (with the character facing right), colors aren't really bright, etc. RE: Fantasy Smash Project - Kitsu - 05-28-2009 For style references, check out the Smash Bros Project board. |
