RE: Fantasy Smash Project - Corporal Tom - 06-24-2008

AngelGlory: you should make master chief a complete character, I even thought out a moveset.

B-battle rifle
(shoots quick burst then puts away)

Over B-Rocket Launcher
(kinda like snakes.)

Down B-Bubble Shield
(absorbs projectiles)

Up B-Maybe he could be one of those characters (like yoshi) whos Up B doesnt send them up.

Final Smash- Jumps on a Mongoose (or warthog) and rides around squishing peoples.

RE: Fantasy Smash Project - Kairos - 06-24-2008

Methinks I fixed Tomba. If not, anyone can take him.

Continuing Pulsle and Minun.

Sword upward
that is what i thought of first

RE: Fantasy Smash Project - Corporal Tom - 06-24-2008

good idea. but couldn't that be a upward smash? maybe a dowward air meteor smash...

I'll take suggestions for ATs to do, though.

Try Kamek. He'd be awesome as an AT.

Also what do you people think of my Toon Zelda/Tetra movesets:

Toon Zelda
A clone for now

Tetra
Lone B = Deku Nut - throws a Deku nut
Side B = Swordfight - chargable. dashes forward while slashing her sword. can also reflect projectiles
Up B = Disappear - similar to Sheik's, but the poof is smaller
Down B = Transform - pretty self explanatory
Final Smash = Blast Away - summons her ship and jumps on. where she points her sword, the cannons fire in that direction. last attack is Tetra spreading her arms out and all cannons fire ahead.

RE: Fantasy Smash Project - Koopaul - 06-24-2008

Hmm. Should there be restrictions on what characters get into this project. Like only 3rd party characters that have appeared on a Nintendo console are allowed.

RE: Fantasy Smash Project - Angelglory - 06-24-2008

Quote'd from the old thread on Pixeltendo. Giving a better overview on the rules than the first post in this thread does:

Quote:Project Goal:
To create sprites of popular video game characters not already represented in the Smash Bros. games in a style that matches that used in the SSB Project thread; for use in fan games, movies, and comics which parody the Smash Bros. universe.

Rules:
- Sprites should be made in a style similar to the ones from the SSB Project thread (it doesn't have to match the style perfectly; just get it to look good next to the other sprites and make the proportions look good).
- Sprites must be of characters primarily from the video gaming universe. In other words, you can't do sprites of someone like Goku or Bugs Bunny, despite how many games they've appeared in. They must have originated from video games themselves.
- The characters are not limited only to Nintendo; you can create sprites of characters from any video game franchise you wish (as long as they still fit in with rule #2). Yes, that means you can do games like Halo or Final Fantasy despite the fact that they would never have a chance in hell to appear in a SSB game.

Suggestions and Tips:
- Steer away from generic characters, like minor enemies. Smash Bros. tends to only use major heroes or villains. You'd never see someone like "Little Goomba" or "Octorock" or "Kremling" as a playable character.
- Use the SSB Project thread for reference when deciding things such as proportions (very important) and pallets.
- If you have an idea for a character, but don't want to create a full sheet for them, remember you could always make them a Support Trophy instead of a playable character.
- Here's a list of generic moves for you to work with (try to include as many as you can in your sheets):

Fighting Stance (nothing)
Walk (forward)
Dash (strong forward)
Duck (down)
Jump (up)
Double Jump / Fly (up in midair)
Shield ?
Grab (Z)
Stationary Dodge (R + down)
Roll (R + forward/backward)
Midair Dodge (R in midair)
Normal Basic Attack (A)
Second Basic Attack (A twice)
Triple Basic Attack (A thrice)
Rapid Attack (A rapidly)
Strong Basic Attack (forward A)
Smash Attack (Smash forward A)
Upward Basic Attack (up A)
Upward Smash Attack (smash up A)
Downward Basic Attack (down A)
Downward Smash Attack (smash down A)
Dash Attack (A while dashing)
Basic Aerial (A in midair)
Forward Aerial (forward A in midair)
Reverse Aerial (backward A in midair)
Upward Aerial (up A in midair)
Downward Aerial (down A in midair)
Special (B)
Forward Special (forward B)
Up Special (up B)
Down Special (down B)
Taunt (joypad)
Final Smash
Throwing Items

Also remember: Some special attacks change their effect when used in midair, and some basic moves change when holding an item.

Nobody's expected to include ALL moves in their sheets, but the more you can do, the better.

EDIT:

Ridley: Swoops in from the background ala Super Metroid style.
KOS-MOS: Chases enemies, attack close-range with R-Blade and long-range with R-Cannon.

RE: Fantasy Smash Project - Green Fire Kirby - 06-24-2008

I think that we should able to do Items. If we can I'm doing Dice Block. What it does is that when you grab it, it stops on a number. When you throw it, the number it stopped on determains the amount of damage it does.

RE: Fantasy Smash Project - Perigi - 06-24-2008

Alright, I tweaked the new Paper Luigi, and I appreciate it (just clarifying) and added the new Mr. L, also my summer break is coming up in another 1 1/2 days, so I'll probably be able to focus on this more.

So here they are:

If I remember correctly, there can't be Characters like Bugs Bunny or Spongebob Squarepants since there came from TV Shows, fan characters aren't allowed, and we try to avoid generic enemies like Waddle Dee or Mettaur. I'm sure those were the rules on Characters.

Alright then. I guess I could do a Ring from the Sonic series. Or maybe one of the Paper Mario badges

RE: Fantasy Smash Project - Hayzer the Tazer - 06-24-2008
