Lol man that wasn't even your original point.

That was a waste of a post by the way.

Please don't post stupidness like that.

Bouncy animations are much easier to do than static animations.

Quick edit. Because I was bored.

Edit is on the left, original is on the right.

So then, Tyvon, way back then, were you saying that we should probably try giving Samus a more energetic idle animation? I know that the typical "static" animation would likely require subpixeling, and it does not sound fun at all.

RE: Samus* - ClashX - 12-01-2010

Try to make it look more angled like SSF2...

RE: Samus* - Iceman404 - 12-01-2010

Stop with the freakin' SSF2! We're not Mcleodgaming, we're The Spriters Rescource!
Get that through your thick head please! Anyways, we already have a set Samus sprite now. (See the post right above you)

RE: Samus* - Tarvonas - 12-02-2010

Hey, hey, settle down! Far out guys, stop freakin' verbally bashing this guy for every ounce of help he tries to offer! Sure, he's referencing SSF2 a little more than he should, but it's only so he can give an example of what he thinks will benefit the project.

And I suppose in the end, that's why mcleod's got all those countless spriters and we have.... what? Four (don't quote me on that, I was referring to active spriters)? Sure, they may not be as refined and polished as the ones here, but you cannot deny that they're actually getting somewhere in decent time. -.-

Now, anyway, what I believe would be a more suitable response to Clash: Thanks for the suggestion, but we've already settled on the side-on sprite because we personally believe it looks better (at least I think that's why?).

On that note, that looks great John. Big Grin

That confused me at first...
T^T
I can't wait 'til I can change my name back...

Anyways...
@Clash, we (as in, a small majority of us) decided to go with a side view rather than a 3/4 view because it just makes more sense for Samus, seeing she needs to be able to see where she's shooting; it'd be kind of odd for Samus to fire a shot that goes straight to the side when she herself isn't even looking that way.

@Tarv, well, I know I used to be able to pump out long sheets a long time ago. Back when I was at the same level of quality. Really, if the SSF2 animations are all like the one Clash just posted, it's very easy to see why they're able to produce the required sheets.

More of this.

RE: Samus* - ClashX - 12-02-2010

What I meant by more angled is samus doesn't even have a left shoulder. Please nobody fix this Im going to try and see what I can do for this...

RE: Samus* - D2S-Speed - 12-02-2010

Still we already have a better one done. Not saying yours isn't good, but we have one done already. Also please stop with all the SSF2 nonsense. We are making a game to get away from SSF2 and all the fourth wall limits it breaks. So if you are just to keep talking about SSF2 then go back the their forum and help make the game with them.

RE: Samus* - ClashX - 12-02-2010

Shut Up Already Just because I said SSF2 does not mean their sprite!!!!!!!!

This is what I meant...

RE: Samus* - tsr moderation staff - 12-02-2010

i dont think she's at enough of an angle that her shoulder would really show.

RE: Samus* - ClashX - 12-02-2010

Thats like saying the left leg wouldn't show... Rolleyes

RE: Samus* - Kitsu - 12-02-2010

The left leg can show because waists can twist.
