Sonic Frontiers audio crackling after extraction. - JoshdaBoss - 11-09-2022
I'm able to extract Sonic's voice clips, the in game cutscene dialogue, and the dialogue of the prerendered cutscenes. The problem is the audio always comes out crackling when I extract the hca files into wavs. I also thought it was weird that Eternity Audio Tool wouldn't let me extract them as wavs either.
So, I decided to compare a random hca of Sonic's voice clips, to that of an hca from another game that utilizes the CRI WARE format. I noticed that Frontiers' hca coding is different from the usual hca file in HxD, which in hindsight makes sense because no program can extract them properly. So that means I need a new bms file to extract the hca's.
A lot of them have different offsets though, so I don't know how hard extraction will be, so I made a zip of a few hca files to get you a feel of the offset. If anyone can tell me how to extract them, I'd appreciate it!
