First time being on here. I need some help ripping tiles from SNES games - RedDragonCats17 - 07-29-2020

I've just joined, so it's a pleasure meeting all of you.

I'm not sure how to introduce myself but that's a different thing. I need some help ripping background tiles from Super Metroid.

I want to get the floor and various blocks in Ashy Brinstar and Red Brinstar. I got ZSNES and VSNES, and I am lost.

Any kind of help is appreciated.

A level editor exists for the game! Download it here: https://metroidconstruction.com/resource.php?id=63

Open the ROM and navigate your way to the area and there you go. The tile window should contain all the 16x16 blocks used.

I tried opening the rom I currently got, which is a USA & Japan rom so it should be NTSC, but SMILE says it's a PAL. Is there a rom that SMILE supports?

I am open for alternatives. If you have better solutions, throw 'em at me.

Update: Never mind, I got the rom open.

@Raccoon Sam What's the next step? I see the tiles I want to use, how do I rip them?
