Hello, i want rip the PS4 ratchet clank Remake.
How i can do it, starting from the BR files?


I see someone rips ps4, so i ask.

There's a tool on Xentax forums that might be able to help you.

Allegedly, Insommniac's Spiderman uses the same engine as Ratchet and Clank; it might be possible to extract the files using the same methods.

Ratchet and Clank models were made with older, very different engine version. No way it can work with spiderman tool.

yeah, that's what they told me. looks like the formats haven't been cracked yet; i searched around for tools made for other Insomniac titles released the same year, but no luck.

It looks like the files you posted don't contain any 3D models.

Can be. I posted the smallest files of each type i find in that folder, with the pourpose of find a way to decompress it.
The files with probably the 3D files are bigger than 600mb each, is a problem for me share it.

Try extracting some of these files with the script found here.

Try this python tool too, never used it so I don't know how it works.

Sleepyzay on the Ratchet and Clank modding discord (https://discord.gg/KE8G5FA) was able to get some of the models ripped, Ratchet, Qwark and Nefarious I've seen anyways. You could ask them how they did it. Rips aren't perfect though, iirc the rigging/weight painting was a little off, should be right for obj rips at least.

Just wanted to add a little to this, the Qwark model couldn't be ripped with weight painting iirc, but the Nefarious one was *nearly* spot on. A couple of bones on one side were missing, which naturally messed up the weights around those areas, but nothing that couldn't be fixed with some mirroring and renaming.
