how do I rip models from wii u? - Heropon - 04-19-2020

hello everyone. I'm completely new to this. I have done some research and looked at a few tutorials but I'm still a little confused. There doesn't seem to be a lot of tutorials for the wiiU. So before I go download a bunch of stuff I don't need I just wanted to double check with you gys

step1- download the cemu emulator
step2- download the iso for the game in this case smash bros for wii u
step3- in the cemu emulator there should be a way to extract the files of the game
step4- look for a file type called bfres (not brres)
step5- download 3ds max trial
step6- 3ds max should have a way to open the bfres file
step7-from 3dsmax export as a supported type to blender (obj, dae, fbx)
DONE

I would also like to note I only want the model, I don't want the textures. anyway thanks for any help and for reading this up to this point.

smash bros for WiiU doesn't use bfres at all. It's all in a DTLS archive container and you have to use sm4shFileExplorer to open the game data, then from there, u can export anything u want from it. Models are in .nud format, and textures are in .nut

Can use the sm4sh max script to import the models, and smash forge to open the textures and export as png or dds
