Tools for image editing/other means? - guycoolSpore2 - 06-08-2019

Good morning.

I'm looking for the most recommended tools for dealing with images. In particular, I am looking for tools that can be used to lay images in an array. For example, I have image files exporting as 25 different 256x256 files and am looking to put them into an array of 1280x1280. As such, I was hoping someone perhaps knew of a piece of software that is capable of this task.

I use TexturePacker. The free version works just fine - the pro version organises stuff optimally for compression with game engines, which you don't want if uploading to the VG Resource websites.

If you're on Windows, you can use Daxar's Sprite Sheeter. Judging by the screenshot, it looks like it'll get the job done.

Thank you for the response. I will try both and see how they do.

Sprite Sheeter WOULD work fine, but due to it creating grids automatically it puts spaces between the pieces.

Also, it seems the map pieces I'm speaking of actually overlap each other by about 15px, so a sprite sheet creator wouldn't necessarily work anyways.

Still have yet to fully test TexturePacker.

TexturePacker might work. Will continue testing and will move to a new thread once I find out definitively.
