Finally registered - duck_type - 05-08-2018

Hello there, I'm Duck Type and I finally got to register after knowing and using the site for what looks now like 15 year, give or take? As long as I remember, this is one of the oldest sites I remember. Damn.

Should I introduce myself a bit more? I ended up as a programmer by looking on hidden data, bugs, spritesheets and misc.Seeing how a game can be dissected is a enriching exprience for someone that has enough curiosity to break them apart, I think?

If I should give a favorite game era? I'd say the 90's and right behind the 80's. I grew up with the regret of having missed out this era of games and sometimes I like to buy one or to games to see how they were back then.

I don't know how to end this post, so see ya later on the forum.

Same here! My main motivation is game development, but I still love coding random programs for extracting or decoding stuff from games. It's definitely been a huge part of my experience and has helped me a lot.

Good to have you finally join, enjoy your stay Smile

A bit late, but anyway, thanks for the nice welcome! Glad to see I'm among people that also used this kind of dissect-reconstruct method to learn! Big Grin
