Anyone know how? I know you can use a rom on Mess, but not sure which one.

(sorry for the really late reply)
Best bet for V.Smile sprite ripping would be using Tile Molester with 2-Dimensional view and either 4bbp or 2bbp linear (not reverse-order). You'll have to fiddle with the Decrease/Increase Width buttons for certain sprites. As for palletes, I'm not too sure.

Examples of using these settings (with sprites from the SpongeBob game):

4bbp linear (commonly used for a majority of sprites and tiles)

2bbp linear (usually for either text or HUD elements)

Maybe try looking for the palettes in GGD? Could work.

Sorry for the SUPER late reply, but I followed your instructions, and after realizing the viewing in 4bbp is in the codec menu from the view tab, and 2-dimensional mode is also in the view tab, but in the mode submenu. Thanks

RE: Help ripping V-Smile sprites - Maxton667hunter - 09-13-2022

I know this thread was abandoned, but it asked me how sprites can be ripped, I don't know whether to use Mame (I heard it extracts tiles) or what they say,
I am trying to extract the Mickey Magical Adventure, I have used other means, but always when I open the .Bin only text appears and the rest is encrypted
Well I'll try to extract it in another way
