wide and too long.
That's what I meant.

*update
started working on the mugshots for the characters when they are talking. It's going to have a sonic battle esque talking style.

RE: PROJECT FROSTFIRE wip topic - Mabelma - 03-12-2009

Nice but it lacks shading and the abs look like a tattoo.
Make them blend more.
I don't like the one with the white outline.

RE: PROJECT FROSTFIRE wip topic - Codestar - 03-12-2009

The style has no shading... and I have no idea what you're talking about with the abs.

It's the same exact pixelart. Blank

RE: PROJECT FROSTFIRE wip topic - Mabelma - 03-12-2009

I meant I don't like the white outline and the abs are to black.
Make them blend with the skin.

Update*
A rough animation of his stage intro animation.

I'm spriting a lot of stuff for this today. I'm on fire today! (pun intended)Cool

RE: PROJECT FROSTFIRE wip topic - Goemar - 03-12-2009

Kaikimi I would ignore Mabelma, he has no idea what he's on about...

My only complaint is that a bit of the scarf (near to the neck) is awfully straight.

RE: PROJECT FROSTFIRE wip topic - Codestar - 03-12-2009

Which sprite are you talking about? The animation or mugshot?
(and yeah on the ab thing he only wears the scarf because it gives him his powers. Not to keep himself warm obviously. heh)

RE: PROJECT FROSTFIRE wip topic - Dazz - 03-13-2009

I see what Goemar is talking about: on the mugshot, litterally just to the left of his arm.

RE: PROJECT FROSTFIRE wip topic - Mabelma - 03-13-2009

Come on Goemar you know the abs look to dark on the mugshot.
Just make the less black cause they stand out to much.
On the intro:
I love it but can you add one more frame where the scarf changes to normal again?

RE: PROJECT FROSTFIRE wip topic - Kairos - 03-13-2009

No. They don't. And it's not black. It's the same color o nthe mugshot as it is on the sprite.

Love the style Kaikimi, great job on the intro.

RE: PROJECT FROSTFIRE wip topic - nairenu - 03-13-2009

Mabelma, its his style, its his colour palette, if every experienced spriter in here says its good, its good =.='

and the style doesn't have any shading, thats the style its in =.=' if he would shade it it wouldn't be as original,, oh and if he would make the abs blend in even more, you wouldn't notice it

great intro kaikimi =3 just luv this style, u mind if i try some sprites in it?

RE: PROJECT FROSTFIRE wip topic - Codestar - 03-13-2009

Thanks, and yeah now I see the area he was talking about on the scarf. I don't mind anyone trying the style tbh, I was going to start a project up later for people on pt to sprite village NPCs.

RE: PROJECT FROSTFIRE wip topic - Goemar - 03-13-2009

Yeah I was on about the mugshot, Dazz got it. Glad you do too now - everything else is just gorgeous.
And hell yeah trying this style would be awesome if you made some guide lines for it!
