M&M Blast! Does not use Sappy engine - ScottB - 01-15-2017

So, what do I do? :\
I want to get a soundfont out of this game, because one of the instruments could be used in what some of you call   a   d a n k   m e m e .

Well, you either record it or cry lol... no other way.

What version of GBAmusriper (I assume you're using that), are you using?

As the most recent one has issues failing to detect sappy engines.

If anything else doesn't work, you could try VGMtrans to get the samples as .wavs. And then use Polyphone to compile a SF2 file.

Where's an/what is the older version? Because i'm a huge idiot when it comes to SF2 editing/creating.
I'm using the latest

I actually tried other versions (the ones included with GBAmusriperGUI didn't work), and I can confirm it doesn't use the Sappy engine.

At this point, it'd be best to use VGMTrans to get the samples, and then use Polyphone.

(If you want, I can make it myself)

EDIT: VGMTrans was just getting garbage noises, so that's no use.

Well, the audio is uncompressed
Audacity -> Import Raw Data -> Little endian, Signed 16bit, Stereo, 16000Hz

Dunno if this helps though

Wait, you can actually do this?

That's pretty neat.

Update: I've found (thanks to TCRF) that this uses the GAX engine.
No one can rip it because no one gives a flying $!%@ about any of the GAX games or no one wants to research it, pretty much.

(sorry for forgetting about this thread)
