Issue with Blender importing Armatures - MakutaMaster962 - 12-11-2016

Hello, everyone! I've been away for awhile, but now I've returned because I have something major I want to share with you all. About a month ago, I managed to finally put together a model of one of my all-time favorite videogame characters in Blender to eventually be converted for use in the "Project EF-12" 3D fighting game engine.

Pretty cool, right? B)

Here's the problem, though. Whenever I export an EF-12(.xsi format) skeleton from Blender and then open it back up again in Blender, all of the bones are too small and none of them are connected to each other.

Here is an example of what I'm talking about:

There's gotta be some step I'm missing, or something I'm doing wrong; however I just don't know what it is. I've been following the instructions in this Youtube video(link here) to the letter, but it still comes out wrong in every attempt. If anyone knows how to fix this problem, please let me know as soon as possible. I'll be sure to credit you for your help if/when I'm finished in getting the character ready for use in Project EF-12.
