Skype Emoticons - Vipershark - 07-15-2016

Hi, I'd like to have Skype's animated emotes available in gif format but they seem to be locked deep within the program itself and don't seem to be available anywhere on the internet.

The really old emotes from many versions ago are online but I want the more current ones.
To my knowledge, all of Skype's graphical assets are locked inside the "SkypeResources.dll" file, which I've uploaded here:

Can anyone take a crack at this for me, please?

Thanks!

shockingly easy... idk if i have patience to grind through .gif making, but i can export them, yes

they're all stored as sprite strips, it looks like.

currently exporting the entire .dll worth of resources, because that's easiest way for me
it's taking a while... about halfway there...

SkypeResources.7z:

Everything classified as an RCData was exported via resource hacker
(same way I dumped the Aero .msstyles from my laptop! XD)

But, you'll have to make the .gif's yourself, or have someone else do it.

That's more than enough for me, thanks. I can make the gifs myself.

Thank you, DarkGrievous!

NP!

what exactly you planning on doing with these? lol

RE: Skype Emoticons - Vipershark - 07-16-2016

Custom emotes for Discord since the default emojis suck

Makes sense

Most of my own ripping projects stem from some potential use of what I'm trying to rip.

Well, good luck!

Maybe I'll sort-out the UI elements and give them a test with my game library's UI API
(once i solve a few REALLY annoying bugs...)
