RE: Quest 64 ripping - Xiron - 06-06-2016

Righty, I'll be PMing those two over to you right now.

RE: Quest 64 ripping - E-Man - 06-07-2016

Now that I got those alphas, I went ahead with more of Princess Flora UV correction. I'm still uncertain about that odd seam at the back of the head, but maybe Segatendo might shed some light since he likely had a better look at the model before I went in there to fix it all up to the best of my ability.

By the way, getting the hair that covers the eye to look just right was a nightmare for me. Hopefully, this is a good enough job, right?

RE: Quest 64 ripping - Xiron - 06-08-2016

To be honest I actually have no idea what that seam is about. The best view I ever got of the model with proper UVs was the screenshot I gave.

RE: Quest 64 ripping - E-Man - 06-08-2016

Okay, that's fair enough.

By the way, what is the texture file used for her arms? My guess would be the same one used for the legs.

RE: Quest 64 ripping - Xiron - 06-09-2016

Uh, nope. They are actually part of the clothing and use 11318171.

RE: Quest 64 ripping - E-Man - 06-09-2016

Okay, sure thing. I was confused due to the color in the screen shot you provided before.

Now, what about 5353138D_c? Where is that used on the model?

RE: Quest 64 ripping - Xiron - 06-09-2016

That's the bottom of backside. I dunno if this one needs mirroring or not, but it looks like a butt when it isn't.

RE: Quest 64 ripping - E-Man - 06-09-2016

The backside as in her tailcoat or the area you can see from underneath between her legs?

By the way, I'm nearly halfway done with UV correction and textures, so I'll provide some new progress soon.

RE: Quest 64 ripping - E-Man - 06-09-2016

Time for an update of Flora. Before you ask, I'll take care of those hard edges around that polygon on her front.

It's for the tailcoat.

RE: Quest 64 ripping - E-Man - 06-10-2016

I got Flora nearly completed now! The vertex colors aren't the problem, but I'm still uncertain about a handful of parts that have yet to recive proper textures. To be specific. I would like to know the textures for...
  • The pieces of fabric below her belt that hide her legs.
  • Her crotch.
  • The upper boot trim.
  • The geometry that connects her foot with the leg.
  • Her foot.
  • The sheath of her sword and the sword itself.

RE: Quest 64 ripping - E-Man - 06-12-2016

Okay, I think I almost got the hang of things now.

By the way, where exactly is 1C69851D_c used on the model? I've nearly applied the textures to all the parts, yet I can't seem to find a place for it.

RE: Quest 64 ripping - Xiron - 06-12-2016

Oh. So it turns out what I thought was the sword wasn't. You can't normally see where it goes, but it goes on the sword that is hidden inside the sheath - I thought the sheath was the sword initially.

RE: Quest 64 ripping - E-Man - 06-13-2016

I actually knew about that hidden blade for quite a while. It's just that I wasn't all that clear when I was describing it.

Now, it's very interesting in and of itself because it provides some additional evidence that she was meant to be playable at some point in the game's development. In fact, this image somewhat confirms this since it contains a character who is at least very similar to her appearance. It's too bad that this idea was cut since her model actually looks pretty good and appears that the sword is more than just for show.

Anyway, here's the model with all the textures applied to it. I still need to rework the UVs again to fit better on a 0-1 space and put her in a more neutral pose, but she's otherwise ready. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
