Gauntlet Help - lia.rei - 03-30-2016

Hello all.

For about 2 months now I've been ripping models from Gauntlet Dark Legacy.

Two days ago it stopped working. I figured it was a particular file (according to the internet) so I tried to delete that and royally screwed up my comp so I had to reset my OS. So I'm basically starting with a clean computer.

I have all of the same programs as before, but it's still not working.

I'm using Ninja Ripper 1.5.1 x86 with Dolphin 3.0 x32. (Again, this is what I have been using and it has been working just fine until 2 days ago.) It still looks like it's ripping. The game sputters, then goes back to working, but the files don't show up.

I have found that sometimes it will rip the files but it stores them in a folder.exe and hides them. As in I can only look at the .rip files if I browse using Ninja Ripper, but I can't see them no matter what I do with file explorer.

I am not opposed to trying any other kind of ripping program, but I've tried 3d ripper dx, and 3d printscreen crashes my dolphin. Furthermore I have tried dolphin x32 and x64 of versions 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 as well as ninja ripper x64 and x86 for their respective formats.

If it helps at all, I'm using 3d studio max 9 to compile everything, but I figure that isn't important as getting the files is currently the problem.

Thank you for any and all help. I'd really like to finish this project.

RE: Gauntlet Help - esco - 09-01-2016

Hey, I am currently doing a hack for this game (info here: http://www.romhacking.net/forum/index.php/topic,22610.0.html) and would prefer to simply edit the asm code directly in the file. However, to do this I need to be able to first decompress the files in wad.bin, then be able to hex edit them, then recompress them and then reload the edited file into the original bin/iso.

Do you have any useful information or know of any tools that could assist me with this endeavor? I would really appreciate any useful help here.

P.S. I sent you a PM with more details. This is for the PS2 version.
