Wifi problem in Windows 10? - eureka - 02-26-2016

So uh hi there, I'm posting this from my iPad because my laptops internet connection just shat.
And I don't mean where it just restores itself, I mean where it says there aren't any connections, and looking at the network drivers shows they're disconnected, somehow.
I was just browsing the Internet and talking to someone via steam, when my internet shat itself and couldn't even let me turn it back on.  Even going to network settings and clicking "turn wifi on" would just make it default back to off.
Any reason this happens?  Last time it happened my dad fixed it because apparently some AMD program didn't have a license and knocked my connection out, but this time it just didn't work at all.
Help?

Try ON the wifi manually by his button.

I've seen this happen pretty frequently with Windows 10. The optimal solution here is to delete the wireless card from the device manager, uninstalling any drivers with it, and then download and install the latest drivers for the card. Obviously, this is difficult to do when you can't download the drivers to begin with so start by running System Restore and go back to the day before it happened and then update the driver.

If you can't update the driver with internet (Windows Update), download it with your tablet, send it to your computer and choose when updating the driver Use locally update files.

oh this is lucky

if you can manage to find an ethernet cable (the blue or green phone-looking cable), just do exactly what petie mentioned regarding the device manager.

alternatively, use intel's driver manager while you're plugged in via ethernet, and you can scan for usable drivers that way too.

this is kinda hit or miss tho. otherwise, go to your laptop manufacturer's support website and use whatever information necessary to find whatever model your computer is, and obtain the drivers that way by manually reinstalling them.

I think the laptop manufacturer driver updater is best.
Because some Wifi cards are Realtek and others...
You can also verify if it's a Windows problem by using an Linux live distribution. If it's a modem problem see in your browser if you can access modem manager with this adress : 192.168.1.1
Send also a network log.
