If anything you'd expect their fire abilities to just get stronger, since it's essentially like Sunny Day is active ALL THE TIME.

Their entries on the website seem to imply the Vulpix and Sandshrew line had to escape to the icy mountains and adapt there.

I have always loved Exeggutor. I'm happy its getting some love, and that love made it bigger than Rayquaza.

I really like that they are going out of their way to explain why pokemon have new typings. I mean, the Alola forms are almost like brand new pokemon in everything but name. That said, I hope the new forms get their own dex entries.

This is probably the best reveal out of all of them just saying

Execcutor, Giraffe Mode activated!

Anyone else notice that when Exeggcutor attacks he faceplants?

The species variants are giving the region a sort of Galapagos feel to it. I find it amusing that we are just now seeing actual literal examples of evolution in the games, as opposed to what we've been calling evolution all this time, which is actually metamorphosis.

I also like that instead of 8 Gyms, there appears to be four islands with a main, chief-like guy, but to get to him you have to pass a trial against another guy who probably also fights you.

Also, those Totem Pokemon? Awesome. Even though they are really just Pokemon, having a boss-tier Pokemon with enhanced stats sounds amazing.

It's great that they're finally trying to break away from the old tired Gym formula, I'm hoping they do more than just that.

Honestly it's like game freak is taking some inspiration from the orange islands saga but less Ash.

That and new pokemon.

More new mon.

Sand Castle? O-okay, sure, why not.

RE: Pokemon Sun and Moon? - Dolphman - 08-09-2016

The little picture they have of it ambushing a Pikachu is a bit amusing. And everyone's probably calling it with the fire Marowak right now.
I like that fish one too. It appears to form some kind of fishy legion by the looks of the bigger form. Spooky, yet awesome.

Did you not notice the DeviantArt watermark? The video that was released today showed a normal Pikachu evolving into an Alola form Raichu.
