If you could give me any Constructive criticism, that would be fine.

I have a very interesting question to ask you. How exactly did you sketch this guy out? To me, it looks like you used broken scratching, which is where you make small sketch lines to form a continuous line. While there's nothing exactly wrong with that method of sketching, some of the guys on the VG Resource prefer sketching with more complete lines. That way, you can actually feel the curves and are a lot more loose with your drawing skills. Also, it wouldn't hurt to use your full arm to sketch things out as opposed to your wrist.

Even though I'm probably not the best at this method myself, this drawing is an example of what I more or less mean. I understand that you'll lose a fair amount of control over your line and the results are quite messy, but those two things aren't exactly all that bad. Personally, I find it best to make multiple passes over the same stroke and partially erasing a few lines as I go along. That'll ensure that you'll end up with a clearer final sketch with a little room to experiment.

I like the drawing itself, but the highlights are bugging me. It currently looks like cute foxy is made out of plastic or something while it clearly is fur you drew. I would advise cutting out highlights and just shade normally. I would put more advice out there about how to shade fur, but I doubt I'll be able to explain myself without fumbling all over the place (I find it hard to explain my thoughts sometimes).

Whew! I've been away for a while! (or at least it feels like I have.)

But I've now got some shading done!

I hope this is good.

Where exactly is the placement of the light source? Based on the shading, it's a little difficult to determine where that is. A smart idea is to plan out your shading based on the placement of the light source. I'm not sure how much of an effective tool this is, but this should  give you an idea of what I had in mind and provide some help to an extent.

This kid is Kori. He's a student mage, learning Wind / Air spells. He's not good and sometimes causes himself to inflate uncontrollably.
