WARNING! This post contains spoilers for Zelda A Link Between Worlds's ending!

Does anyone know where the model for "Lorule Link" is? I have the model for him in the shop but I can't find his model for at the end of the game.

I had the model in an earlier post under "maskless Ravio". If you want to rip it yourself, look under the files labeled "demo", those are the cutscenes files, look in either the last or near the last demo file.

Got it, thanks. At first I thought it was a "Zelda BOTW" situation where the model was cutscenes only and couldn't be ripped. Glad to see that wasn't the case.

is there a better alternative to N3DSCmbViewer? All the models are previewed fine, but when I export them as DAE files (and also converting them to FBXs), all the bones are gone, and the meshes aren't weighted.

RE: (Another) Zelda Ripping Project! - Alvarezmd90 - 04-08-2020

Nope.. I fear N3DSCmbViewer will never be picked up by someone. At least we also have cmab extractor. http://www.mediafire.com/file/ex3vjzk9k6mcju4/Cmab_Extractor.zip/file
This way you can get all the mouth and eye textures. Anyway, I'm so used to ripping from this game that I know the entire library out the back of my head.
Yuka means floor. Kabe means wall. Tent(jo) means ceiling. Mizu is water temple. Haka probably means grave/tomb because all of those are related to shadow temple and tombs. (y/b/d/)dan stands for dungeon. 'Spot' is named that way because it's the hub world. The whole archive is full of naming conventions that you should keep because when searching through the files, you'll easily find them all by content.

Btw, Oot3D uses special mask textures on scrolling shader effects. This way, you can have partial scrolling for surfaces like lava, and in this case, water temple door posts with green light.

Does anyone have a 3d model of Link's awakening Octorok?

RE: (Another) Zelda Ripping Project! - dalek_kolt - 06-24-2020

So I've been trying and failing to rip Link's Awakening. Has anyone here had any luck on that front?

RE: (Another) Zelda Ripping Project! - Jack the giant - 07-04-2020

Hey I hate to bother everyone but did we ever find out how to rip stage meshes from hyrule warriors I can get everything else no problem but stages and stage obj and terrain are all listed as dat files and I cant for the life of me figure out how to open them and if i look in the bin file in noesis it gives me a error I remember one person saying they ripped a stage but they never said how so I was wondering if anyone else knows thank you in advance

RE: (Another) Zelda Ripping Project! - dalek_kolt - 07-11-2020

I ripped Ganondorf from Hyrule Warriors and the various hair/cloth bones.
Does anyone know of the best way to rig the hair/clothes at this point? The hair isn't rigged but the textureless square here is, so I was thinking if there was a way to bind the hair to the square mesh rather than the armature, that might be the best way to do it.

Ripped Ganon from Link's Awakening and painted on some textures.

I'm having issues properly exporting from Blender as either Colladas or fbx's, can anyone double-check to see if these models actually work on their computers?
This also originally came with a normal map, but it's too large to attach, so here's a separate link. https://i.imgur.com/9Xc86H0.png

I have been able to use Steven's Gas Machine (SGM) to extract stage .BIN.GZ files using [PS3] Dragon Quest Heroes from Hyrule Warriors Wii U.

To get stage and people files

1. Choose [PS3] Dragon Quest Heroes...
2. Select folder where the .BIN.GZ files are.
3. Say "Yes" to everything else

Textures output by SGM are broken with the Wii U files so you need to pull textures from .BIN.GZ using Switch ToolBox. Now you need a mass file renaming program. SGM output textures that are all numbers (Ex: ###.dds) while Switch ToolBox will save textures with the prefix of texture_ (Ex: texture_#.dds to texture_###.dds.)

With the mass renaming program you need to remove the texture_ from all of the Switch ToolBox textures AND make sure all of the textures are are 3 numbers long (or is it 2 numbers long?). After that you should have no problem loading the wavefront .obj output by Steven's Gas Machine with textures.

I just got home and tried it but I'm still having trouble i press yes to everything like I was told and it just gives me the idxzrc files I have no problem with the textures I know how to get them but when ever I put the bin files in the program and try to get the wavefront object I can't I tried with other files like characters same result I used Wii u and switch versions and still nothing I tried the method on xnalara forms also but it didnt work either. Do I have to remove the textures first or can it be the original file I'm sorry if I'm asking alot of questions

RE: (Another) Zelda Ripping Project! - AJD-262 - 09-23-2020

What I do is copy the .bin.gz file I want to extract to its own folder. Than than Steven's Gas Machine extract all contents of that folder. It may not work with every .bin.gz. I only started messing with this a week ago. I do know SGM doesn't work right with S011-Model.bin.gz

RE: (Another) Zelda Ripping Project! - Jack the giant - 09-23-2020

Still same result just a idxzrc file
