[MUGEN] Internet personality - NetNerdy - 01-03-2016

I was asked to make sprites for MUGEN and need some advice to improve the key frames.

I have a bit of MUGEN character experience, so I'll see what I can do. I'm not exactly sure of what to say, but the one MUGEN character I made only had a handful of sprites made, and I needed to make more sprites to make it work. You seem to have a pretty simplistic style, but it's not bad.

It would help if I knew what I was looking at. If your spritesheet was organised like your attachment I think one would understand a lot better.

Thanks Smile For S, am I looking at individual frames of one attack, or a set of different attacks?

For right now, most of the frames are for their own attack, I believe.

Like I said, you might need to make more sprites first to add some fluidity to the animation.

So something like this? Are you sticking to one frame per attack?

I'm thinking of at most 3 frames. I need some help to make the frames thus far look good to progress. I'm still thinking of making a better standard (idle, or standing) frame.

The frames are decent (an overview of your process suggests you work over pre-existing animations), though I think for the animations I posted you could do with an extra frame for build-up. I also found it quite time-consuming to build the animations, to get them centred right and in the right size, etc. Much as you've just started and it's still pretty rough, may I suggest you start putting the frames in a uniform size? It'll help you animate them efficiently in the long run, and you'll save time building the animations.

Keep it up!
