Strange, really not sure what I'm doing wrong. Even though you've got it working I'll probably still try to fix my program sometime, if only for my own satisfaction.

Seems I'm able to get 'em right now. Big Grin

Guys, someone manages to extract the files from the Japanese version of the game? I use CriPackTool, but when I try to extract the images are damaged. I am attaching the file, maybe someone can help me.

Thank you

Did not work. Whatever method was used to extract the data and images likely failed.

It's encrypted, you won't be able to simply extract them from the cpks.
Hopefully the Global version won't start doing that in the near future.

Seems like it might have already started. Several new unit images in the last GL update came out corrupted just like the ones in that JP file (units were directly after Noctis and just before Ramza).

Which CPK are you referring to?
I don't see any issues/encryption used for any of them.

On my last two attempts to extract the images from the new 1.4 GL APK, several new unit images came out corrupted both times. Always the same ones. Could just be a one-time thing with this APK update, or it could be a new trend.

Can someone please rip all the monsters and backgrounds from this game? I dont have the game btw...
I know that MrAlbion uploaded some of them.

I have the game in English and Japanese and I would really love to rip the sprites, or at least of my favorites. What files do I need to start and how would I do it? I ripped the "sprites" for the Kingdom Hearts mobile game, so the process shouldn't be too daunting to understand, I should think. Shy

I would also be willing to of course share the resources, just gotta figure out how to start! Big Grin

Thanks!

EDIT

Ah, I see. The problem arrives with the Japanese .cpks. They are now encrypted. And given that the global, despite being 2.0.0, hasn't caught up with most of the new units or locations, it means we're stuck. And soon as global does, they will probably also encrypt the .cpk files.

This sucks! I'll keep searching for ways though guys. I'll keep this post updated (though I doubt anyone still cares xD) and will post if I find out how to decrypt them post extraction. Here's hoping!

2.0 added a lot of unit sprites, almost to the point where it is caught up with JP. Not many of them are missing now. Once GL hits 3.0 it should be up to speed.

2.0 for Global added a few so far, but it isn't nearly up to date (JP is at 2.6.0) and I suspect as soon as it is caught up, they will encrypt their cpk files as well. If I could figure out how to decrypt them, I could be ready for the change or just use the JP version right now. Smile

Huh. I just discovered Final Fantasy Tactics S (for mobile) and A King's Tale: Final Fantasy XV (XBox One and PS4). Has anyone looked into these?

I don't think so. I checked for A King's Tale as well, found nothing. However, the game just became free, so that might change very soon! Smile

That would be neat. A King's Tale has really cool sprite art.
