Strange filetypes in a 3ds game? - nyandere - 08-16-2015

I want to rip some things from the 3ds game Tales of the World: Reve Unitia, mainly the character art used in story scenes. I've managed to get the rom decrypted and all that, but the resulting files don't seem to be anything common... I don't know what to do with .jtex or .bjae files, as google doesn't bring up anything relevant at all.

Can anyone please help me with this?

Can't much help you without some example files to look at - upload a zip with a handful of the files you want us to look at and we'll help you where we can Smile

I'm not entirely sure these are what I'm looking for, since I can't actually see what they are, but here's some files.

Having déjà vu with this format...

Download
Run it.
Drag JTex files onto the window.
It exports PNGs

Notes:
There are probably other pixel formats, but only one was used in the thing you linked, so it only for sure supports one.
Upload those that don't work.
The bjae are for piecing the parts together. If there are sprites that really need it then I'll look into it. For just portraits it should be fine as is.

You sure those are the right colors? They seem a bit... weird.

Looks right to me.
