Maybe they stop spinning in segments? Middle first, then top?

Good thought, I'll have to make some flame effects for the spin.

Jetters, you might be right. I wasn't really sure how to animate that part honestly. How's this?

That looks so much better. Surprise

Another thing I noticed is that the bit on top that gets flat where the frosting fell off goes back to being a lump in the rest of the animation. This also looks kind of odd to me but I couldn't really tell you how it could be fixed to properly transition back to default...

RE: Back at it again (at Dreamy Team) - Cyberguy64 - 07-01-2015

I'd just have the lump be gone until he spins and then have it be back when the spinning stops. You could say the spinning re-distributed the icing, or more likely, people won't notice the change since it won't be so jarring.

RE: Back at it again (at Dreamy Team) - Ridge Troopa - 07-01-2015

It'd hardly be worth it to put the flat top on all the frames before the spin blur, because not only is it really hard to notice as-is (at least to me) it would create twice the amount of tiles/parts. It's really only there so it's easier to see the glob of frosting is sliding off his head.

If it's not a deal-breaker I'd honestly rather leave it how it is, but I will fix it if it really is that jarring.

RE: Back at it again (at Dreamy Team) - Garamonde - 07-01-2015

Weird... it stuck out a lot more to me earlier than it does now. Yea I'd say it's fine as-is and not worth the added effort. I guess it's really only noticeable if you pay extra attention, and during a battle you won't really be able to analyze every frame anyway.

RE: Back at it again (at Dreamy Team) - Ridge Troopa - 07-02-2015

It would've been worth the effort but just the extra tiles thing.
Here's another animation - I was going to post it on my birthday, 5/20, but much like my birthday recently, it sort of slipped my mind...

Raspberry gains a little pixel over his eye when Bundt sings.

And this is adorable.

Finished up Popple's battle sprites with the hammer attack.

RE: Back at it again (at Dreamy Team) - Ton - 08-16-2015

Loving it! Popple is so fun. He's exactly the same character as Croco, but still.

RE: Back at it again (at Dreamy Team) - Cyberguy64 - 08-17-2015

Popple has a lot more personality then Croco ever did, see? Especially the way he hypes himself up as the Shadow Thief and always takes rookies under his wing to do his dirty work.
