How to get xbox 360 to play backups? - ~Axis~ - 01-24-2015

So I've been searching for hours trying to find a way to get my Xbox 360 to read burned game backups, but all the tutorials I found involve taking apart the 360 and plugging it into a PC with a lot of extra equipment. I wanted to find a way to play burned game disks without having to open up the thing. So far the only tutorial I found that claims to achieve this is this one where you use a boot disc that somehow enables the console to read the discs but Im not convinced.

I know that there are hundereds of tuts on youtube and other sites but I cant watch them due to bandwidth issues. I guess the million dollar question is can I get my Xbox 360 to play burned game backups without having to open the damn thing?

Please help me out. Thanks for your time.

This.

I had to do this with my 360, not because I wanted to burn games, because mine wouldn't read games at all due to the fact that I had to replace the Disc Drive, and did it myself. (with another disc drive from a 360)

It really isn't hard.

Also this way you don't have to buy the games from some asshole trying to make profit off of pirating, but you can also just pirate the games yourself.

I saw this page yesterday but I was looking for another way than prying it open but oh well. I guess I have to do this like a man. Thank you for the help Kat.

When u put the new drive into the xbox you should have also swapped the drives boards over too due to tehe fact they are tied to there individual machines.
