Figured I'd try recording my replays a little differently this time around.

Sorry if this is a silly question guys, but I was planning on getting a wii u and smash 4, so I was wondering if you guys battle each other often. It would be cool to play against VGR members. If you guys do, then when do you usually?

RE: TSR's Super Smash Bros Thread|We have weekly Brawl tournaments - TomGuycott - 09-08-2015

I don't at the moment, but if more people were down I'd definitely love to.

RE: TSR's Super Smash Bros Thread|We have weekly Brawl tournaments - recme - 09-08-2015

i smash on both 3ds and wii u on weekends, so theres that.

RE: TSR's Super Smash Bros Thread|We have weekly Brawl tournaments - Shade - 09-08-2015

I smash when other people smash. Free to play pretty much whenever.

Sportoise thought he could hide Shrek's reveal in the OP forever

RE: TSR's Super Smash Bros Thread|We have weekly Brawl tournaments - recme - 09-14-2015

so uh, is anyone gonna talk about the new super mario maker stage or... :^ )

RE: TSR's Super Smash Bros Thread|We have weekly Brawl tournaments - Jermungandr - 09-14-2015

Sure, like how it's taunting us with a way better potential stage designer than the shitty one we have now but we cannot ever actually utilize.

RE: TSR's Super Smash Bros Thread|We have weekly Brawl tournaments - BullockDS - 09-15-2015

And how it's gonna cost more than other DLC stages. Because fuck you.

RE: TSR's Super Smash Bros Thread|We have weekly Brawl tournaments - recme - 09-15-2015

well, its not like you have to purchase this particular dlc. it is just a fun, casual stage, after all! Big Grin

RE: TSR's Super Smash Bros Thread|We have weekly Brawl tournaments - NICKtendo DS - 09-15-2015

The extra 50 cents is because it's a brand new stage for a change, and a complicated one at that.

RE: TSR's Super Smash Bros Thread|We have weekly Brawl tournaments - Jermungandr - 09-15-2015

The big thing about this is ... we already have an awful lot of transforming Mario stages.

We have Mushroom Kingdom U for the Wii U and the Paper Mario stage for 3DS that literally transform. And then we have stages like Delfino Plaza, 3D Land, and both of the new Mario Kart stages that functionally transform the terrain by moving you from location to location. While I admit I prefer the aesthetics of this new one better than some of the ones we already got, I'm just not that excited about adding yet another one to the roster.

Of course it goes without saying that I'll end up buying it anyways so it's all really a moot point.

RE: TSR's Super Smash Bros Thread|We have weekly Brawl tournaments - NICKtendo DS - 09-15-2015

The difference is that Super Mario Maker is randomly generated at the start of a match and stays that way until the end (from what I understand), unlike the stages you mentioned that change the layout mid-match.

RE: TSR's Super Smash Bros Thread|We have weekly Brawl tournaments - Kriven - 09-15-2015

The transforming stage has really been overused, though. It makes stages like Delfino feel a lot less special.
